Bye Bye Birdie !

Ive had a fantastic weekend so far, the weather here has been kind with cool frosty mornings.   It was supposed to be the Big weekend in our nearby town Taralga, with the 19th annual Art show however due to COVID 19 that didn’t happen.  Ive gone every year for the past 4 years and its a great place to meet people and catch up as well as see some of the best art around.    This year was going to be different for me as I was going to enter 3 pieces for the first time. ISO continues !

Well, here we all are, separated by oceans however all going through the same thing. It still amazes me that a little "bug" smaller than the human eye can see, has brought our world to a standstill and in a way showed us all how much we have in common, rather than how we are all different. A friend told me she likens it to mother nature sending us to our rooms. lol Ive been busy of late working from home, and painting of course... Lots of time = lots of art.

Ive been keeping busy this week in my studio painting  away with the lovely autumnal days outside. Its starting to cool down after our long hot summer and the endless bushfires. I always look forward the first snowfall and going for bush walks the next morning, watching the kangaroos and wallabies hopping about in it. I finished this Superb Fairy Wren (No 2)   Then I did my first self portrait, after all isn't that what serious artists do (LOL).   Thinking of you all out there in our world, stay safe, isolate and save lives.
